Biography for Brendon Brathwaite- Founder Buzz Concepts   

Consumed by his love for Events Management, Brendon Brathwaite is passionate about the industry. He launched his own company BUZZconcepts in 2006, joining the events management landscape with his own fresh brand in executing sporting and corporate events. In his day job, as a Project Manager / Research Officer at ISLANDpeople, he infuses every task with enthusiasm, passion and creativity. An unending desire and ambition, drives him.

An eager learner, he embraces every relationship as an opportunity to speak avidly about events. He does this at the Trinidad and Tobago Hospitality Institute where he lectures in areas of Hospitality, Tourism Management and Events Management. Further, at the University of the West Indies, he was recently appointed a Part Time Lecturer in Meetings and Conventions.

Brendon obtained an Honours degree in Tourism Management from the University of the West Indies in 2003, at the Centre for Hotel and Tourism Management. While there, he served as President of the Student Body where people acknowledged his organisational and leadership skills. He followed up his professional training by gaining a Certificate in Events Management from the George Washington University in 2006 at the Authur Loc Jack Graduate School of Business. Now as a Member of the International Special Events Society (ISES) he has his eyes set on becoming Certified Special Event Professional CSEP. 

His professionalism in event coordination was advanced when he worked as a member of The Vision 2020 Secretariat in 2004-2005 as a liaison for the Tourism Sub Committee, having executed over twenty 20 Stakeholder consultations for the Ministry of Planning and Development throughout the length and breath of Trinidad and Tobago.

In 2008 in partnership with Triniscene the largest web-based social network in Trinidad, he assisted in the creation of the now signature event “Victory”, a charity event, that for the first time brought together the largest event and advertising company’s for a day of sport, fun and camaraderie.

Young in spirit, mature in outlook, his work is never done. After completing one project, he is rearing to go to start the other. Brendon Brathwaite is the poster child for events, his future won’t have it any other way.
